Tony Prestipino of Artifex Dental Labs was busy early on in the pandemic, but not creating dental implants. Tony has been getting kudos on social media because of his quick-thinking to create PPE materials such as face masks and shields with the equipment he usually uses to custom-make dental implant technology.
With most dental offices shut down during the early weeks of the pandemic, Tony’s lab began using their CAD/CAM technology instead to print to design and fabricate face masks and shields. In fact, Tony and his helpers, fabricated over 4,000 face masks and shields for local hospitals and first responders. His kids were able to be with him when he dropped off donations to Calvert Health Medical Center in Calvert County, MD.
